When you are ready for something special, the River Stop Café is ready for you!  New guests are delighted to learn that we start very early in the morning, baking from scratch and creating our homemade specials.  We take pride in using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients whenever they are available, and fresh herbs and spices from around the world always find their way in to our recipes.     Flavor matters to us, and we know you'll taste the difference. DRINK! No "Gas Station Cappuccinos" or "McSpresso" at the River Stop Café:  Our trained, experienced Baristas know their coffee, and make your drink by hand each and every time, from organic beans that are custom roasted just for you.  At the River Stop, we know the difference between a double tall decaf latte with a whisper shot and  a skinny sugar-free carmel mocha.  Our teas, Chai, and incredible blender drinks are all made with a special ingredient: Love!  Expect something wonderful…

INDULGE! If you love something sweet every now and then, our homemade desserts are the thing of Northern legends.  Whether it’s a seasonal favorite on the 4th of July or Christmas, or our traditional Michigan cherry bars or carrot cake, no trip through town is complete without a piece of River Stop heaven.  Staying at the cabin for the weekend?  Call ahead and we can put together a custom dessert tray that will delight you and your guests.  Expect something wonderful!
