Customer Testimonial

  • "We live in Chicago, and the River Stop is every bit as good as any coffee house we have back home. What an atmosphere!"
  • "Our family always makes time to get together at the River Stop.  They make us all feel right at home, and their homemade specials are simply delicious. The kids love the big, old, safe they turned in to a play room."
  • "I'm an architect by trade, and the River Stop is one of the best examples of urban reinvestment in a small town I have ever seen.  The late 1800's architecture and interior design are simply stunning.  Plus, I am hooked on their food!"
About Us

DSC0480The River Stop Café Today

Owner Robbin Faulkner has developed the River Stop Café from a tiny gourmet coffee house opened across the street in 1995 to its current location, originally opened in January of 2000.  The building was in a state of near-collapse when purchased in 1998, and almost two years of blood, sweat, and tears from father and son team Ken and Scott Faulkner restored the building to what you see now.  The River Stop building is in fact four full floors, which includes a full rock-wall cellar, and two upper floors, all restored.
